Seems we should keep right click pretty simple.

So visio has the same right click menu no matter where to user clicks and items are enabled and disabled as appropriate. I prefer a dynamic right click menu but we can do it either way.

Right click on a shape OR line
1. cut
2. copy
3. paste
4. fit to page
5. zoom 100%
6. group
7. upgroup (if we can get group/ungroup in oneline that is dynamic with a checkbox that is the best way) otherwise only group / ungroup should be selectable by the user depending on the status of the group (or non group)
8. bring to front (always enabled) (might cut this if list is too long)
9. send to back (always enabled) (might cut this if list is too long)
10. properties - bring up the property box (redundant prop box as a floating dialogue box at the user's cursor)

right click on the stage

1. copy drawing (copies whole drawing)
2. paste
3. zoom - fit to page
4. zoom - 100%
5. properties - bring up the property box (redundant prop box as a floating dialogue box at the user's cursor)

right click on object in properties palettes (this will be spec'ed out when the properties palletes are more spec'ed out)
1. copy
2. paste

right click on object in symbols palettes
3. copy
4. paste

            • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

1/5/06 - right click does not work for ordinary views (works for input text tho). supposedly there is a new fix in a new class LZContextMenu, but its currently in the nightly build, not 3.1.1. If this gets into 3.1.2 or 3.2 , we'll try it out.

6/8/06 - did another valiant effort.. got sometthing to work, but has a quirkiness that might not pass. I'm 99% sure we need to go to Flash 8 to make this work.

We had issue before with Right Click and compiling in Swf 7, and right click not working in Flash Player 8. Maybe SWF9 will resolve issues.
